Not so fast my friend. Normally when a person deletes his text messages they are deleted from the phone but still reside on the phone carriers servers. And of course if the recipient hasn't deleted them from their phone they still exist. In the case of very powerful people who have a high degree of control over the communications infrastructure they may well have scrubbed all traces of the messages existence and made those menials charged with the task to "disappear."

Not convinced it's blackmail so much as a timing issue. If Hillary got out of it last time, the case has to be more than rock solid this time. Yep they are gone forever. There is no text message server so to speak. Unless they have the acrual phones which have long been destroyed I'm sure. Even Tom Brady knows this. Unless they have a carrier that specifically offers text retention then very little chance.
