Talent level was fine enough to win the SEC. UF was a few plays away from winning the East in 2002 and 2003. His coaching was a joke at times.

Losing to Mississippi State became his unforgivable sin. He was interviewed two days before our Outback win over them. He was asked if he thought Kaeding (our all-american field goal kicker) would be a factor... his response... "We hope to do a good job at stopping all their running backs".

SOS left Florida as he saw the hand writing on the wall, he fail at recruiting the last 3 years at Florida and didn't have the defensive lineman it would take to win the SEC and there was a big drop off at wr after years of all stars.
Only qb and the secondary was near or equal to the talent he had just 4 years before.

Zook came in and recruited better classes than SOS his last 4-5 years at Florida.

Florida finally has a nice dl for the first time in 4 years or more.

Florida lost to LSU 2 out of Zook's 3 years........ We beat the Gators in 2002 and 2004....

Spurrier's recruiting sucked the last two years he was there......

I just hope that this new generation of Tiger Fans aren't as spoiled.

Good news for LSU... Spurrier left FLA depleted in so far as the talent they consistently recruited in the 90's. Saban left the Tigers LOADED.....

Les Miles is a good coach and has the respect of the team. I just hope that LSU fans will be united and strong in supporting the program and not criticizing every little thing like the spoiled punks at FLA.

Fla fans remind me of gay democrats. Let them suck each other.

UF fans are very spoiled but lets be honest...if Miles doesn't win the West in three years...we will be bitching as much too

zook had an argument as noted above. lack of dline and dudes in the trenches. even in the skill positions there were gaps. zook left it better than he found it.

UF's 2001 team was the most talented team Spurrier had and even he has admitted that.

UF was no lacking talent when Zook got there and he had several great recruiting classes.

    I don't buy that argument.

With some good coaching UF wins the East in 2002 and 2003
