Les better get on his knees every day between now and early January and pray that we have healthy and productive QBs this season. Putting all his eggs in Perrilloux's basket was one thing. Coming away empty-handed at QB twice has now turned up the temperature on his seat big time. We are now one bad injury and Jarrett Lee breakdown away from having a walk-on starting at QB for a program that won a NC 3 years ago. That is unreal.

All the more inviting for a a big time QB to step in and take the job. I'm bummed about this too, but it makes us very attractive in the eyes of Ely and others.

so it's Miles' fault the Dodgers finally broke the bank on someone?

kid didn't kid drafted higher because he was deemed unsignable.
all of baseball knew that and stayed away from him.

I don't blame Les Miles for trying to get Zach Lee, but where was the backup plan? Now, we are looking at either a walk-on or a redshirt freshman to start in 2012. So, yes, this QB situation is Les' fault. Sounds a little bit like 2008 doesn't it?

Couldn't wait to lay it at his feet? You can say you are not agenda driven, but that's bs. Just pathetic man. You must be a thoroughly miserable fool on Saturdays. Over $5 million gets thrown at a 18 yr old kid and it's Miles fault. Get a life.

well for what ALL of it's worth, hopefully ZL gave our QBs at least a little push this summer/fall. competition is never a bad thing and the kid seemed to have his head in the game from day one, just can't turn down 5 million and some change -- even to play at LSU.

Russell Shepard hasn't even played his 1st game as a "wide-receiver".
spent his whole freshman year working with QBs, and by all reports, is still getting reps at QB.

It's not inconceivable that one of the highest rated recruits in the country could play the position he was recruited to play here.

    edit to add:
    Jarett Lee
    Jordan Jefferson
    Russell Shepard
    Zach Lee

4 straight years of signing QBs
how many more would you want him to sign?

Well, if there is anything Miles comes away with in all of this is another good excuse... just in case. If LSU has another year or two like '08 and '09, the argument will be that it is Lee's fault.

Hopefully, JJ can relax and play better now that he doesn't have anyone breathing down his neck. Maybe it will turn out better this way.

    I'm trying.
