you can't bottle or buy that experience. it was one of the best feelings in the world. if there was a drug that could produce that effect, i'd be addicted.

i would like to say however (and i hate usc as much as anyone) that i don't think their loss was the sole reason for the din. it started it. but it was an important rallying point for the team and the fans. LSU just came down from 10 to 3 pts behind. this was during the break after the TD. so many things went wrong in the 1st half and we needed some hope. stanford upsetting USC showed us that anything could happen and a team that played average for 2 qtrs and 7 min could turn it around. it was immediately followed by a scoring drive for florida (the one where we guessed wrong on the screen i think) and it really took the wind out of our sails.

and i thought, man, if they got a TD after one of the best "death valley" moments ever, there's no way we'll beat them tonight. but we dominated the 4th qtr and got the "W". while that "moment" didn't turn the game in our favor it was important that everyone in that stadium knew the only thing standing btwn LSU and undisputed #1 was the gators.

i'll remember that moment for a very long time.

 

I also heard that right after that video, Pam Ward was heard saying "Just wait until they put the score up in Tiger Stadium"

 

I can in no way take any credit for that statement. I stole that completely from tigerreport.com. It is though one of my, if not my favorite staements about LSU and Death Vally so I do use it quite often. I always try to remember to give credit to the arthor though! Good job 327! Now if in my drunken state I forgot with Okie I have taking care of it now!
