I never even thought of him during the game even though we were talking about it throughout the day. Yeah let's scratch him off quickly. Not that it was ever possible.
And now that Ohio St just won it all, I'd think it would be pretty tough to yank one of their dudes out of their gigs right? Who does that? So lets go on and x out the 2 from there as well. Who is left?
Ash from OSU is a young up and comer that's being mentioned. Wouldn't be a big name hire, but he could be a good one.
So he's qualified but Brick isn't? By the way I'm not sure if you are in the Brick isn't qualified camp, I'm just pointing out that it doesn't make sense to go out and hire some other position coach for DC when we have one that may be ready.
I'm not overly thrilled with the job Brick has been doing with the DL and I'd like to see a beefier D. I'm not really interested in Chavis 2.0.
Chris Ash - To be fair the up and coming youngster is 40.(insert Mike Gundy comments here) 2014 Co-Defensive Coordinator/Safeties Ohio State University 2013 Defensive Coordinator/Secondary University of Arkansas 2011-12 Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Backs University of Wisconsin 2010 Defensive Backs University of Wisconsin 2009 Defensive Backs/Recruiting Coordinator Iowa State University 2007-08 Defensive Backs/Recruiting Coordinator San Diego State University 2006 Defensive Backs/Recruiting Coordinator Iowa State University 2002-05 Defensive Backs Iowa State University 2000-01 Graduate Assistant - Defense Iowa State University 1998-99 Defensive Coordinator Drake University 1997 Graduate Assistant - Defense Drake University
I didn't call him a youngster, you could be 70 and still be an up and coming coach. Most of his experience worth noting has been in the last 5 years.
