I'm done worrying about who the next DC is going to be. Neither I nor anyone here gets to influence who LSU hires, and we won't know how good or not so good the hire will be for several seasons anyway. Eventually someone will be hired and named, and either we see good solid defense or we won't. Here's to 2015.
Oh no! I disagree. All football programs are not equal and particularly when it comes to defensive coaches. If a potential hire were to list the top D coaching jobs in the country, LSU should and likely IS always at or near the top. If people don't come knocking, there are reasons. I don't know what they are at the moment but there is something.
You may be right, or it just may be a perception that someone isn't knocking. I am sure there is (someone/several knocking), personally. In this day of instant media, this process just "appears" quiescent, and isn't happening at the pace that our fanatic fan base would like. Simple as that in my mind.
I spoke to anonymous, had them hack every email database on the planet and found out LSU is hiring Gruden, but it's requiring many back door conversations and top secret paperwork filings. He apparently wants to be able come back to commentating when this gig is over. But he has optimistically said he will produce the #1 defense in the country for 6 straight seasons, and that he will also over see the offensive revamping to match his defensive output. You heard it here first.
Learning what? I'm not the one who list English as a 2nd language mon ami. I will send you the latest Websters edition. Maybe that will help. I might have an old Engl 101 book laying around as well.
What I see is that Les knows when to send a guy to find some greener pastures. He got rid of Gonzales, too.
Plenty of people are knocking, what are you talking about? A dozen candidates have been leaked, at least two interviews have been acknowledged, and teams are still playing.
Do you think Les is still searching/interviewing or has he found his new DC and is just waiting for the appropriate time, whatever that might be to announce it?
Possibly both. Wishing to avoid another Chavis-type disrespect of his current team situation, Les may be waiting until their season is over to interview remaining candidates.
