If you played in the NFL, you would be a great head coach. Ryan did do very well, UDFA out of LSU. Had a great time in the NFL.
I just think he has that IT factor, plus he played safety and has to know what every position at all times. He has been in NFL forever and was never the best athlete but has managed to be a productive player even at an advanced age due to his football IQ. Just a gut feeling though, no evidence to support. Wouldn't it be cool to have an alumnus as a coach? My gut could be wrong but still would be cool.
There are so many names in the mix, I have no idea who will be hired. I suspect that puts me in the same category as Les. When does the recruiting dead period end? I would think Les would have to have a hire made by that time.
DeShea Townsend. DB coach at Miss State and Collins went to Florida. I like he's having success, wouldn't want him as a DB coach at this point. Charlie Harbinson just lost his job at Auburn.
