How does a DL position coach make it to a DC job? Most intern under a DC, check Bricks resume. His time spent working in the South, East and Southwest (Clemson, Baylor, Houston, Ga Tech), SEC ( MooU) and NFL ( Chicago Bears ). Has a great resume, did his time. Remember, he was on the headsets, on the sidelines, relaying info back to Chief in the pressbox. Talking with someone, he is right behind Frank in the recruiting of players out of high school. Everyone knows Chief never liked the recruting game, wasn't his thing. Les never pushed it on Chief, Brick picked up the slack. Brick has gotten calls on a DC job before, just lately, MooU had his name in the mix before the rehire of Manny Diaz. As for Muschamp, he was a DC for all of one (1) year before coming to LSU, he too did an internship. His one year, at Valdosta St. Nice jump to a DC job at LSU.
Is it not obvious? There are a number of candidates to be considered, it is important to get the right one, and there is no extreme rush in a dead recruiting period.
So true, I posted in the recruiting section of the EE coming into LSU on the 14th. Its a couple of nice write-ups. The staff has done well.
Shhhh. I'm trying to break him of ridiculing those who disagree with him. He was a drill instructor, the Dark Side is strong with this one.
Yep, had a slew of highly qualified candidates who are now "no longer in the picture" who is he waiting for? Buddy Ryan isn't coming through that door.
Hmm, I really like both. I don't think that either is any better than the other so I'd shop for the best deal. Chuck size, variable speed, volts etc. Now drop and give me 20 maggot!
