Agree. The top 5 list is trash. The clause that the DC is in charge of winning every game and will be blamed by the pumpers for the losses must have been too much for them.

If Brick can bring to the table what Chavis did and we get Coach O, what's the problem? I mean Brick played and coached under Chavis, I'm not thinking we will see a huge dropoff at all.

Then why didn't A&M hire Brick for half the price of Chavis? There is a reason he has been coaching under Chavis all these years and hasn't been hired away as a DC. The odds are that Chavis lite will be a step down.

Yep, why didn't Fla St keep Bowden, Bowden lite will never do anything.

Brick was Baylor's DC in 1999-2001. Why hasn't anybody else offered him the DC job in all that time?

Bobby Bowden left so he wouldn't be fired! Florida State was failing miserably, fans and the administration couldn't get him out the door fast enough. He was under tremendous pressure to retire. I'm shocked you're trying to compare those two entirely different situations. Plus Jimbo was hired to be his replacement in waiting. He wasn't an underling promoted by default.

I'm sorry guys, I just don't see any other result but Les screwing this up in spectacular fashion. We (LSU) was supposed to have a list of coaches that would move heaven and earth to get on staff here, just a phone call away. Well, I guess that is proving to be a load of manure.

It would be different if we knew they had a name, a quality name, and it just hasn't leaked yet. We don't know that so we are left to speculate and speculate we will.
