No. Sporting News. http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-fo...-saban-playoffs-nfl-talent-sec-not-going-away WeAreSC has divested from ESPN sans a few negligible links. I hate ESPiN. Their rankings have been traditionally weak on quality information and long on bullshit. No, I didn't take 2009, the article did (see your reasoning on misplaced credit in the Orgeron interested in job thread). It was nothing more than a response to a poster wondering about 5 stars. Other than that, I don't have much to say about it.
I have heard his name mentioned quite a few times. I would love to give him a shot. I might place him even with Clancy and above Shoop on my wish list. Haley is a serious candidate but I think that only happens if we have Coach O coming too.
Why am I not surprised? In the article he says 30, then goes on to list them at the bottom without doing the math? In the Coach O thread I mentioned I took things like those tweets with "guarded pessimism" When it comes to the Sporting News, they don't even get guarded—pure, unadulterated pessimism. Hell, I think it was the same thread where you mentioned the 2003 season and playing a sixth ranked Auburn (who finished 8-5 and unranked.) SN had them #1 as I recall. I did give you the benefit of the doubt that you'd pulled it from somewhere...now, I did use the word "you've"...I can only blame a stream of thought on that one...mea culpa.
I could as well. Even when Chavis was here all the defensive coaches setup the game plan and I expec that to continue in this scenario. Chavis is going to get a DC job soon one way or the other and I think he would be a good one. He has also been a DC before if I am remembering correctly.
Pendergast is out of consideration: "Pendergast, out of coaching for the 2014 season, did not have enough familiarity with the SEC and recruiting in the South to encourage LSU coach Les Miles to bring him aboard after meeting with him over the weekend, the sources said".
