I think he's great, but he could definitely afford to tone it down a little bit sometimes. Like when he says 'I say Houshmanzadeh, (TJ chiming in) you say Houshmanzadeh.' That's pretty damn lame and he needs to never say it again.
Hmmmm... Dude was pretty good for the first 15 years, I was one of his biggest fans... The nicknames got old 10 years ago... The Swami got old 5 years ago... Dude needs a new schtick or OUTTTTTTTTTTTT.... Sadly, the best thing he's done in the last 10+ years was his tribute to Tom Mees... I think the only reason I don't miss Primetime more is because I don't have to listen to dude babble... And besides, now they've got better analysts for every individual sport...
Don't forget when he sings a refrain from some 1960s song that seems to go on forever....that's way old and corny
berman is awful, but not as bad as total embarassment joe morgan. hershiser is good, put him in there with the mets guy, gary cohen, or even that guy who does the sox, he is good. or the SF team that is on EA mvp baseball. almost any local guys are better than morgan and berman. hell, i will take mccarver overexplaining strategy instead of those dudes. maybe call al michaels and let him do games in between football.
im with mike d and martian. i can stomach berman because hes paid his dues and hes like your relative who genuinely thinks he funny but since hes nice its acceptable--in short order. the back back back and nicknames really needs to go. joe morgan is worse than mccarver is worse than keith hernandez. cohen is really good but i forgot how good steve stone was til i heard him the other day. fired for speaking the truth about the cubs may have been good for him in the long run. p.s. hi im slider the wonderball, if you grip both my seams with your first 2 fingers... thank god that bravo channel skit is gone.
