I wore 84 in football (I was a receiver and it just got assigned to me, and I was cool with it) and 40 in basketball (chosen for Durand "Rudy" Macklin).

why do i remember this kind of stuff but can't remember the last movie i saw in the theatres?? i guess short term memory is the first to go.

13 seems like it would be an awful number to have in any sport.

If this doesn't officially take #4 off the board, it's mine. Yes it's because of Brett Favre. Flame away.

i started wearing 3 in lil league baseball.
the Braves were the only team that was ever on TV down here, and Dale Murphy was by far the best player they had back then (when they still sucked ass every year).
then in High School, I was a knicks fan, and my favorite player was John Starks, so I just kinda kept the #3.
Kevin Faulk came to LSU while I was still in school, so 3 seemed like a good football # for me as well.

for the 1st 6-7 years of softball after HS i still had 3.
then I switched teams, and 3 was taken by our starting SS, and a pretty good friend of mine.
couldn't pay him for the # (he was a big A-Rod fan).

so I switched to #5. kept 5 even though I switched teams since then.
that guy died a couple months ago (only 2nd funeral i'va ever attended for someone younger than me), so as a tribute I'm probably gonna switch back to 3 next season in his memory.

    All eyes on 3 baby!!

I used 6 because i was a troubled child and was into death metal and wanted to have 3 6's on my letter jacket so i had the 6 patch put on each arm and one of the back.
