Having said that...I do not believe either OU or AU would blow USC out, if they win. We'll get to see won't we? I don't think any team this year can blow USC out ...or OU or AU. Their running games are too good at controlling the TOP if they need to.
I really like OU's chances this year. You want to talk about being disrespected? Last year they were told they did not belong. Now this year they get to hear AU should be ahead of them along with USC. Combine their talent, experience, Stoops + a really big chip on their shoulder and I like them to win. Their secondary was a problem, but their #1 CB is back healthy. That was their only weakness, and it looks to be contained now.
USC's TDs were from two big running plays. OU and USC will not allow big plays. Their respective defenses are too good. Take away those two plays, look at what USC did against a completely horrible UCLA team. They could not get it done in Bruin territory. 5 field goals......
Rival games do funny things to teams, look at LSU getting blown out at Georgia, for example. We'll see how things go in the NC game. If USC gets blown out, I'll come back and eat crow - if USC beats either OU or AU or doesn't get blown out, I'll come back and gloat. Sorta. I still hate the idea of USC winning NC or getting credit, but I like being right too.
Tenn. has had at least 5 plays of about 60+ yards on AU, still think that USC won't have big plays on them? (I know you mistyped above, you meant OU and AU will not allow big plays) Also, ask Kstate and LSU if OU will give up big plays.
Yeah, I was just talking to a buddy of mine out here about this very thing. The national media loves the Condoms. Here in the L.A. area, FSN loves the Condoms. Local news covers them, but doesn't dwell on them. Beyond that, not many people seem to give a sh*t. Of course, half the people out here don't even speak English. Maybe we should factor that into the situation? I don't see what the big attraction is with USC and L.A. itself. Don't get me wrong, I like parts of So.Cal. very much, but other parts of it, L.A. included SUCK.
