LSU is going to drop $20 Mil + to get rid of Miles?

I mean there is the buyout, new coach contract, and the likely new assistants.


It aint happening.


Our best bet is to send Steele and Peveto packing.

Since the article dropped last week I have been saying it wont happen for 2 reasons. The Buyout and the recruiting class he is closing in on. But, man I think its real.

 

The reports I have read all say that this is not a "new" development, and that apparently the buyout isn't an issue as the powers that be have been putting money aside for it, and a few big money boosters have offered to pay it. Besides, I believe it'd be paid out over a period of several years, not a one lump sum kind of deal.
But unless everyone wants to watch LSU slowly drop an extra game or 2 in the SEC over the next few seasons, and watch our recruiting dry up leaving his replacement to have to rebuild over several years, the time is now to cut ties, bring in a big name and salvage as much as possible with national perception and recruiting.

 

The buyout is paid out over 6 or 8 years. I don't remember which. I've also read the dollars aren't an issue.
I wonder if any consideration has been given to allow Les to "retire" due to "health" reasons in return for a reduced buy out?
