Kilimanjaro, snow capped for over 10,000 years will be void of snow and ice within two decades. Oh, but wait, that is just coincidence just like the loss of ice around the Arctic Circle, around Antartica, almost every glacier around the world, etc. Anyone who doesn't believe in global warming has the scientific skills of a witch doctor. Almost every month, there is a major finding once again proving global warming not only exists but is accelerating.

Kilimanjaro will have no ice cap within 20 years for the first time in over 10,000 years

Yes, the Earth is warming. But the important question is, how can we blame this on Bush?

    Elementary, my dear Ellis

You cannot blame environmental changes on a guy who hasn't been in office 2 years. HOWEVER, you can blame the GOP and Sapling for the following:
    1) oppose every raising of mileage standards for cars that would not reduce or at least decelerate the increase use of fuel but would also result in fewer greenhouse gas emissions
    2) try to keep running as many of the old power plants as possible and try to exempt them from Clean Air act rules -- recently, Sapling tried to exempt some coal burning plants in the Rust Belt from such restrictions. I don't know if they got implemented or not, because they are being challenged in court
    3) Sapling was the major industrialized 'leader' to oppose the revised Kyoto Treaty. And before anyone does the old misrepresentation trail, the treaty that got voted down by the U.S. Senate resolution 97-0 or whatever was NOT the Kyoto Treaty. That was the EARLIER version that NO country supported. There have already been MORE THAN ENOUGH official ratifications or promises to ratify the treaty to easily begin its implementation.
    4) Sapling ASKED for and received reports on global warming from the National Academy of Sciences. When it was given to him, he LAUGHABLY called the report 'flawed science; (this from a guy who is still trying to figure out why mixing vinegar and baking soda in a corked pop bottle ejects the stopper).
    5) Sapling called a report by the EPA in HIS OWN CABINET DEPARTMENT 'political document' simply because it once again said that global warming had been proven and was accelerating.

So, the bottom line is the GOP, Sapling included, don't give a damn about science, peoples' health (another example was the opposition to cracking down on the tobacco companies, including stopping hearings when they took over Congress, etc.), but instead have been bought and paid for by industry lobbyists to do ANYTHING necessary to increase profits, PUBLIC BE DAMNED!
