I guess some people forget, Gonsoulin won the starting job in fall and then again in practice when coach O said he opened up the competition again. From the beginning of the season Gonsoulin's kicks looked bad, I guess he was just great during practice. Culp missed one field goal, this was in a game that Gonsoulin also missed a field goal before him. Even the media is saying that Culp has redeemed himself.. What games are people watching?
It's pretty clear you've become angered by any success Orgeron has or might have. I'm not even going to get into the many on-field flubs committed by Les Miles... things a competent coach should never have done.... I'm just here to say that if you're a true Tiger you wouldn't be rooting for Orgeron's failure.
I understand this is kind of rebuilding year. I don't for a second think we are beating Bama in two weeks, but if Orgeron can win 9 games this year with this roster you have to give him some props. So he kind of has a mulligan this year. Even if LSU had only won 7 games, Orgeron isn't going anywhere. However, going forward, Orgeron should be held to the same standard as Les. Win 9 games with this roster, there is no reason to think they couldn't contend for the SEC West next year. The year after that, you should be talking playoffs.
T-Bob Herbert split the team apart over the QB mess Miles CREATED in 2011 before the NC game vs bama and this is widely reported and got no suspension of games from Miles. He was no disciplinarian. Look Miles was a great guy, but a mediocre to good coach with great recruiting skills.
I never went into the MSU press guide. I admit I remember you are right it was Emmert, who then left for Washington. I believe. I can admit when I am wrong, you don't seem to have this quality, Clowny Miles, Saban's hiring still was an unproven coach. LSU could have done better. We settled and the fan base was unhappy.
