I am old enough to remember when we hired Nick Saban. I didn't like it, but was willing to support him and give him a chance. He inherited a team in 2000 with an NFL laden roster heavily talented offensively and defensively. He started the season 3-3 with a blowout loss in the SEC forgot to who, and loss to UAB at home throwing his QB under the bus after the game then torching the QB on his radio show. NOBODY CALLED FOR SABAN TO BE FIRED! Ed in his first season refused to throw anyone under the bus takes blame is 6-2 and he doesn't deserve same chance?
Not with some of these knuckleheads. Saban grew into coach he is now at LSU, he wasn't there when he arrived.
Yet Culp hasn't missed a kick since. A coach needs to be a psychologist too. Some players need the carrot and some need the stick.
