That's all very nice. Personally, I think the running game had more to do with those wins than Flynn, but regardless, are you comfortable with the way he has played this year? Are you confident that he can get the job done against a good team if the running game gets shut down?

But that's not really even the point. The point is that the coaches had an opportunity to get Perrilloux some valuable experience the last two weeks and didn't. Now, what happens if Flynn can't get things done against Florida? Is Perrilloux prepared to come in and try to spark the offense? I just don't understand why they won't permit Perrilloux more than a couple token throws when the game is almost over. Let's see what he can do and get him a little confidence. Let him establish himself a little bit. It's about getting the team prepared and maximizing their ability.

I'll tell you what, today I am a lot less confident about next week than I was two weeks ago.

How many interceptions did Flynn have dropped today?

Perhaps you saw Perilloux miss TWO wide open receivers for missed TD's. He's not any better than Flynn.

I did. I also saw him stand around for two and a half hours before that. You can't expect a guy to be sharp under those conditions. I wouldn't expect any quarterback to be on the money with his first throw, even if he had just finished warm-ups. I saw him make some nice throws earlier this year. If you are going to use him, why not see just what you have? Especially when the starter is struggling. Things are about to get tough. Is the team as prepared as it could be?

The O-line breakdown concerns me more than...WAY more than Flynns play. He was on his back too many times against a very inferior defense. If you saw in the second half, when given time, he was playing much better. Lose the two LeFell drops and he would have been just fine.

Look for the coaches to go all out next week. I also think the team was expecting to roll their helmets on the fied and go home against Tulane. It was obvious they wanted to mail in their play. I'm hoping the O-line was feeling like they were playing that way.

True, but I think Flynn ankle not being 100% prevents him from moving around to avoid the sack. He was hanging back there too long and not getting rid of the ball. It's not that Flynn is making bad choices, I think it's his ankle still bothers him. He'll come around...not to mention we probably were getting ready for Florida more so than Tulane

Yeah, the o-line looked like they did against Miss St. Strange that they would regress after playing so well the last few weeks.

I was really hoping the offense would have come together by now, and roll into the Florida game with confidence. Getting Doucet back would be a big boost.

maybe should have put it this way: If Flynn is still hurt and plays the way he played today and last week our chances of winning against florida are not that good.

Has Flynn looked particularly sharp in any game this year? I like Matt Flynn and am all for senior leadership and loyalty. He looked great against Miami and in mop up duty in prior years. But can anyone honestly say he has looked sharp in any game this year? Yes, the o-line looked like crap today and Flynn has a bum ankle, but are there any signs that any of that will change by next week? Not saying Perriloux should start, but IMO should have let him get in the flow of the games more this season and be ready in case Flynn is still hurting or is still off next week against Florida. I still think Flynn will come around and get the form back he has shown in the past and will and should be our starter for the rest of the season.
