I moved out to the Bay in May '79, the Iran hostage crises happened in November of '79. I distinctly remember being shocked at seeing the "F Iran" bumper stickers that seemed to flourish in the days following the hostage taking. It was as if because some other society was behaving badly, then it gave us the right to drop indiscriminate F bombs on others, and especially others kids. It still reflects poorly on those that choose to do that. Especially millionairesses. :dis:
You guys do realize this was the French company FCUK - French Connection United Kingdom, right? Obviously, the logo gets play because of the vulgar similarities and I agree that it is inappropriate for the park, because of kids and the confusion it has set off, but it's not quite what everyone thinks. IMO, she should have gone to the park like this, and there would have been more complaints, but probably not from men.
I can't find that information in this article but I will assume you are correct but that doesn't change anything in my book. We agree that it isn't appropriate and I certainly don't want my kids around that. Actually it seems like something a nineteen or twenty year old would wear and not an actual parent.
i cant tell from the pic... does it say f-c-u or f-u-c? the article gave no indication of the former.
Of course the article left it to our imagination. We will come up with the obviously worse case scenario. It is actually, FCUK. I am sure women see it as a cute play on words, but in view of all the negative publicity Arod seems to get in NY, maybe it wasn't the best wardrobe choice. http://www.fcuk.com/
:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: With all tabloid stuff she's had to deal with recently due to a-rod's philandering, you gotta wonder why she wants to set herself up for this type attention and criticism when the sharks had barely slowed their circling from the last episode (a-rod and the stripper).
