dont worry...they'll have a letdown game at rutgers and hopefully lost and then rutgers will end up losing at wv so dont worry about the big east.
That's exactly what my thoughts were as the game was looking tucked away. It'll be hard to get up like that two weekends in a row and this game took a lot out of them.
My prediction: Louisville CRUSHES Rutgers. GEESH...I feel like I'm being forced to be interested in this game. Normally, I would rather watch high school.
7 fumbles, 5 Int's, 11 penalties, 4 sacks ...... what an ugly, poorly-executed game by both teams ...... what was so special about either Louisville or WVU other than being undefeated in an average conferece? Sorry, but these are not top-ten caliber teams by any definition. WVU without Slaton = Army. Louisville minus Brohm = Washington State. I'm sorry but there are no less than 4 SEC teams that would beat UL today, and probably 5 teams: Arkansas, Auburn, UF, UT, and LSU - each has a running game good enough to limit the number of offensive plays Petrino would have to function with. And each has a defense good enough to force them into a one-dimensional position, and likely produce even more turnovers than we saw last night...... pathetic.
The only way to stop it is to have a playoff and since that doesn't look likely any time soon you better get used to hearing these average teams with great records getting pushed on us by the media as championship caliber teams.
I hope Rutgers goes undefeated. Would like to see what the pollsters do should that happen. If they would vote WVU and UL that high, then surely they have to vote Rutgers that high as well, right? And don't forget about that powerhouse Bosie State. They'll be playing in a BCS bowl somewhere if they go undefeated, which is a lock to happen. I'm rooting for anything that makes the BCS look more stupid...
Remember http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/bowls05/bowls?game=sugar Georgia had a pretty good defense last year. WVU's offense was a lot more impressive than LSU's.
