you lazy nazi, i did the legwork. myself is a reflexive prounoun, so if i am doing the correcting, i correct myself, but if you do the correcting, you correct me. in my sentence: "i encourage correction of me too" the implication is that i encourage people who are not me to do the correcting, so it isnt reflexive, i encourage (implied you and others) to do the correcting of me. not myself? right? i could be wrong.
martin, you better make that "pronoun" not "prounoun". And, I believe the correct term would be "correction of myself". Why? Because I think it sounds right.
you peeps need to learn to differentiate between typos and actual spelling errors. i clearly realize pronouns are not prounouns. if i corrected typos, that would be an endless waste of time, because nobody learns anything. i hear your "it sounds right" argument, but i am not buying it. i think what is relevant is who is doing the correcting. you dont correct "myself", you correct "me". i encourage corrections of me (by you). i think refexive pronouns are for when the subject receives the action. you correct yourself, they correct themselves. but i correct you, and you correct me. you do not correct myself, i do not correct yourself.
Yes he is, CU is in Boulder, Colorado. This area is similar to Berkley, California, full of Liberals. NOTHING has happened to this guy yet, he is still employed by the University of Colorado. There are rumors brewing that the ACCU will step in if they try and remove him from his job. It is said that the administration doesn't have the balls to fire him. I don't like the people who run this university, If I wasn't an LSU fan and was origionally from Colorado I WOULD NOT LET any of my children geaux to CU. I don't like Betsy Hoffman, she was out to hang Gary Barnett and said some things you don't say about a person until he is proven guilty. Its all politics at CU, most people in charge could care less about sports, whether they are good or bad, etc.
