100% agree. Everything I've read says Tolliver is as close to an LSU lock of guys that haven't committed to LSU yet.
With recruiting such a fluid process I think we can all agree we don't know where he'll end up. However, a comment you made here about everything you have read struck me as interesting. I've read articles on Tolliver dating back to April and in every one of them he's said his timeline is basically that he'll start narrowing down his choices now...as in last of June, first of July. One quote from him struck me. It's from a Scout article from the 21st of last month. When asked favorites Tolliver said, “I don’t have a top five or anything right now. Everything is still open. I am going to try to narrow it down a little bit next month.” Where have you read these articles? Safely said, no matter where he plays he looks to have the talent to be a good player, one that will be a lot of fun to watch.
You know what it's like when there are certain in state recruits which, to the outside fans, look like they are wide open...and yet to the fans who know him, go to school with him, and know his coaches, will say something entirely different (andre smith for example). It happens in every state, every year, to lots of kids...and this is one of those times - just take what we're saying to heart.
I understand that completely. Mentioning Andre' is a interesting example, but different in this aspect. The recruiting services had him as an Alabama lean all the time. I haven't seen that with Tolliver. Again, who knows. I was just curious as to where those reports (LSU lean) were coming from. Everything I've heard and read about Tolliver seems to indicate he's a great kid, on and off the field. I look forward to seeing him play no matter where he ends up. Different positions, but talk about bizzaro world...think Keys and compare him to Tolliver. :dis:
http://recruiting.scout.com/2/653478.html I just watched this video on Scout that features Julio Jones, AJ Green, and DeAndre Brown with some clips of other guys as well (Jarboe) and came away with a few things. I'm questioning my ranking of AJ as the #1 WR in the country. It is really close between him & Julio, but I think I'm going to change my mind just like the recruiting services did & put Julio #1. I agree with the guy in the video that DeAndre isn't as polished as these guys, and he doesn't appear to be as good in open space as them (still great, just not quite as good).
DeAndre looks like he has an arm also. Wonder if he ever tried to play QB. But it would be nice to get Julio and DeAndre. That would make any star QB look like a 5* QB.
It won't be difficult for a good program to snatch DeAndre out of MS. IMO, he's got a great upside. Right now, most are looking at his ability with YAC more so than his hands. Wouldn't shock me to see him in Fl.
Chris Tolliver says Florida and Bama are leading ahead of LSU. This doesnt worry me too much, though. I hope we get him...he has to be one of the most underrated WR's around.
Chris Tolliver was rated with Best Deep Threat of all WRs Funny for "The Best Deep Threat" be rated the number 13 WR
