4* WR Aldarious Johnson out of Miami has also listed LSU in the top 5. http://story.scout.com/a.z?s=107&p=...08.html?refid=400&CMP=OTC-K9B140813162&ATT=24
I'd be estatic is we could pull Toliver, Brown, and Barron for this next class. Get those three and I could care less about the rest.
They are saying DeAndre' Brown might end up going to J.C. b/c of his ACT scores. I hear that he made a 17 but you need at least an 18 to play. Hopefully he can take it a time or two more and get that extra point. At 6'6" 220 lbs, he has all of the physical tools to help him become a star at LSU! .
It is a sliding scale, it depends on his grades as well. Many recruits have a ways to go entering their Senior year, and a lot of them end up pulling it out.
The higher the gpa, the lower the ACT needed (also it's not composite ...ie "17"...any more, it's the raw cumulative score). For the sake of estimation, a "17" would be plenty good enough to qualify if his core gpa was ~2.5 or above (technically he'd need a 68 on the ACT with a 2.5 gpa).
Well, whatever the requirements are, there is a major concern that he won't make the grade. I got this information from one of his coaches.
I think coaches and fans should get used to it, in the last 3 years the core courses required were 14 (up from 13 3 years ago) causing the latest 'wave' of problems...and next year it goes from 14 to 16, which is going to devastate a couple of classes full of prospects who didn't have the guidance or discipline to prepare for the changes.
Do you have a link? I'd love to read up on these changes and wasn't aware there had been any. Thanks.
