Re: DeAngelo Benton - what ever happened to him? Usually, once a kid gets in school, the academic support around him does an excellent job of keeping him academically qualified. Other than RFJ, whose situation was... unique, I can't remember the last time a scholarship football player at LSU lost his eligibility because of grades. Often, it's much harder for these borderline students to get in than it is for them to stay qualified once they're in.

Re: DeAngelo Benton - what ever happened to him? My family that stays and Bastrop and some go by the practice says he's been practing with the team and running and he still looks great. Him amongst others are working on RR still. All I know is RR and DB together will be something amazing thats not even mentioning the other talented WRs and etc oh yeah with Shep throwing it to them not even going to get started on the RBs.
Re: DeAngelo Benton - what ever happened to him? Looks like Benton is going to be a Tiger come early January and on campus. Great news. He will see the field as a freshman and be an impact player. And will count as a 5 star recruit this year from what I can gather.

Re: DeAngelo Benton - what ever happened to him? When I went to school there as a track athlete, they made me work out with the football team. Lets just say strength conditioning and running was something done EVERDAY under Asst. Coach Barton (Rayville Coach now - see Richard Murphy). Coach Bradshaw is a hard hard coach to play for and doesnt accept anything but your all and then he pushes you more.

It would be a pretty safe assumption that he's been working out with the team/coaches unless rules prevent it. Regardless, if he's going to be here in January it won't be long before he's in shape.
