He recruits well. You can't argue against that. He is questionable at best in terms of morals and ethics. I think he is of the class of coaches that is "win at all costs" (see Miami and Florida State). It might be a Florida thing. His team is not as talented as LSU's and yes he is going to the CG. But it was also in a year that Georgia was down and could have beaten the Gators in a normal season.
This bunch around here needs a 2 x 4 upside their thick skulls to understand reality. They love bathing in their 3rd Place SEC West snuck into a BSC Bowl to kick ND's butt "GLORY". Meyer ain't going anywhere. He's gonna be another Spurrier with all that talent ... AND MY, OH, MY ... weren't those wonderful years for LSU. Yeah, we'll have our Big Upsets ... like in 1997 ... But there's a new SEC champ on the block ... and he beeeeeeeeeeez bad.
every coach that has recently won a NC past maybe mack brown has done it questionably and/or has a checkered past carroll - bushgate, jarrett-gate, tressel - clarett, youngstown state issues bowden - free shoes university coker - "thug U' saban - claims of offering benefits to alabama players, grade-changing issues stoops - big red sports & imports need i go on further?
And if there was any question or it was even close ... and it isn't ... Meyer did it with .. the toughest schedule in America and kicked Les Butt in their game.
I think Florida got a little lucky getting into the NC Championship game. Had LSU not handed the win over to them, things would have been quite different.....
