if its just one per conf then i have a problem. conferences should have a max # of teams so that each team plays each team. thats the only way to really determine a conf champion. in the b10 you can have multiple (ok maybe only 2) undefeated teams. for the sec, kickout olemiss and msu add a conf game and flush the seccg. still, any playoff is better than this bcs bs
Looks like the BCS will likely be LSU's savior this year. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
I think the best teams should play. If three of the top teams are in the SEC, then they should be in the mix. It is just not fair to penalize a conference because they are "too good." Any playoff system should be between the best teams, regardless of what conference they are in. To have it any other way would just create controversy and disagreement.
Id like to see either the top 8 or 4 teams have a playoff. Have the bowls as and use them as the opening round. The either a plus one or 2 games to decide the championship. Under the current system Id be totally against any non-conference champion playing for the title. If there was a playoff system then I dont think it would be a problem. In college basketball non-conference champs have won the title, its not a problem there so I dont see why in football.
or we could keep it like it is now, however, run the bcs standings again after the bowls....then the top 2 play in the NCG
Thats a pretty good idea, but personally I dont like the computers having any say so in who plays in such a big game. I mean its said that the computers are putting the Pac 10 as the top conference.
well you DO have to give the no-d-10 some credit. They are scheduling good OOC opponents...which will lead to a higher SOS
