I do not believe any cover has EVERY in the history of mankind been so poor and such a bad one as this one from 1956: Tutti Frutti He shoulda just left it alone!
CLEARLY you have never heard the Leningrad Cowboys & Red Army Choir sing Sweet Home Alabama (I warn you what follows with haunt your dreams for months) It's like some parallel universe where we lost the cold war.
I got you all beat. Nobody covers like Shatner . . . nobody. LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS ROCKET MAN
There is some major suckage in this thread. I cant even listen to any one of them all the way through. It makes me want to vomit.
well since sweet home alabama is the adopted song of the crimson tide, i'm ok with any bastardization of it. back in high school we had this exchange student that people used to get to say dirty words and hit on girls b/c he didn't know what he was saying. but at the same time even though he was kinda nerdy and backwards, we all liked him. even though he was corny and over the top we appreciated his courage b/c he even knew he was kind of a running joke and he was ok with it. that's how i feel about shatner.
If you guys are looking for one of the BEST covers of all time Try Gin and Guice - By the Goardes. It is fantastic. Seriously
I have to agree, its a Great cover. For those able to think outside the box, try Keller Williams cover of "Another Brick in the Wall". Its the bluegrass version and it actually works. IMO
