This is why I've come out from the "lurk". Enjoy the banter and get to laugh and release hearing the stressers remind me of my youth. i will go to work tommorrow and see my kids off in the AM and all is good. Geaux Tigers.
Here's some more words of wisdom from Les Miles post game: “The necessity of the run that we like as opposed to just a run or an advantage in play to just a play,” Miles said cryptically to explain the personnel change in that situation.:thumb:
I used to be far more emotional, but rarely lose my cool now. Having said that Miles has pissed me off more than anyone in the history of football. He is an idiot and he is in charge of my favorite team. We are the laughing stock of ALL FOOTBALL. We are being squeazed into Aggie jokes. I am pissed as I own 6 tickets and I WANT A REFUND. This team under Miles is nowhere near the price of admission. The players are being screwed and not developed anywhere near their full potential - costing our future pro athletes millions of dollars. How Miles can accept 4 million dollars a year, cost our athletes millions and still look at himself in the mirror baffles me. He is a total disgrace.
One of the things that helped me calm down as I aged was the fact that televisions got way more expensive to replace!
Nonsense. There are teams out there that have zero wins. We are only the laughing stock of the Top-10.
Well, I am 58 and way passed being mad about football -- even Tiger Football. My feelings are more a sense that we are in the midst (though 5-0 admittedly) of squandering opportunity. I just hate squandering. Probably because I have excelled at it. Geaux Tigers hwr
Even as a kid I marveled at how pissed and angry some fans could get over a game. My dad took me to the games for many years, and he always kept a cool head. He loved a win (yes, even a sloppy one) and hated to see the tigers lose, but at the end of they day, he'd say "it's just football." He never seemed to get bent out of shape over a game, and never threw a cursing tantrum. Now I bring my son to the games and I try to be the same way. Yesterday on the way out of the stadium I overheard more than a few people saying they wished we had lost. A lot of people were really over-reacting and freaking out. Les seems to be good for at least one game a year like this. Hopefully they have that box checked for 2010 and we can see some improvement in the offfense with Lee.
What Les Miles did is unforgiveable. However, I agree about putting things in perspective. I have to or Les Miles is going to be the death of me.
