One of Skip Bertman's greatest moments at LSU was telling Petrino, after he interviewed for the LSU head coach job in 2005, that LSU was not the least bit interested in hiring him. They say Petrino really blew his interview, acting like the job was already his and laying down conditions on the spot. The ever-shrewd Bertman sized him up quickly and found him lacking. Sorry boys, but this is SouthEastern Conference Football. He'll be back. I love the SEC but am not immersed in it. This along with many athletes being given 2nd, 3d, and 4th chances is why the rest of the country looks at us with scorn. You can't have it both ways.
I don't think this should have anything to do with his job. Just because the dude is a scumbag doesn't mean he should lose his job. He didn't commit any NCAA violations or anything.
