Hmmm, I don't like that. If she doesn't come then I guess it would have to be a personal issue with Mulky. I can't imagine Baylor having anything that would surpass what we have now, maybe except for STDs and trailerparks. I'm sure she realizes, like all of us, that there couldn't possibly be a better place to coach
I don't follow basketball very close but I know she has a NC with them- their first one. I'm sure you know this but for those who don't: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baylor_University Even for someone, like me, who doesn't follow basketball close, it's easy to see it'd be great to have her. Not only a heckuva resume as coach, and player but also from La. :thumb:
Getting Mulkey to coach at LSU would be great but I think that this is one of those situations where any publicity is good publicity. It sucks that things unfolded the way that they did but, any coach that wants national attention on a level that is unlike anything seen in womens collegiate basketball just needs to coach at LSU next year. Everyone's going to want to see how the team fairs Post-Pokey and the "inappropriate conduct" scandal.
I simply couldn't imagine a coach looking for a new job after winning a National Championship, absolutely unfathomable.....
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/4628103.html This woman led the Houston Comets to the FIRST 4 WNBA championships! She left the team and they haven't won one since. She's firey. She doesn't have much college coaching experience, but what do you folks think? It would be a risk in a way, but it may be worth the gamble. She's a winner.
You'll have to do more than get past her name. She's a Trojan. http://www.pac-10.org/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/061406aaa.html
