Best wine value, for me, is Gallo Hearty Burgundy !!

(Serve it to your wine snob friends blindly and see what they say.)

(Also, I'm a big champipple fan from back in the day...pagan pink champipple!)
    (I'm coming, Elizabeth!!)

Is this the wine you speak of ?

Gallo Family Vineyards Twin Valley Our Wines

I'll give it a whirl. I've only poured one bottle of wine down the sink in my wine drinking career.

Even better would be to pour it into an empty bottle of expensive wine and serve it to your wine snob friends

That's it. It used to come in a bottle with a black, metal screw top...but they jazzed up the bottle. Same wine though. :).

Finally found a place here that sells it. Have to say it was "okay", guess i was expecting more. Norton Malbec, its a very good wine for under $10.00.

Recently ran across the 2006 Woodbridge Sauv. Blanc at 8.99. About the best value I have ever experienced in wine. Had a case. No where near that now.

I like Riesling, too, but a dry Riesling (a real dry one) if you can find it is superb. I like the Chateau St Michelle, too, and it is usually available, but give me a good dry one as my first choice.
