ha i like that first line.

no, you;re right coaches don't abuse their players like the junction boys anymore.

    i'm glad they don't.

but you can't really lump jarrett lee in with the pussification of america i don't think.

in any situation, i try to put myself in the other person's shoes. as a freshman qb there's no way i'd want to be thrown to the wolves like that. the sec has the best defenses in the country. he had plenty of bad decisions along with plenty of bad luck (and offensive players that apparently can't pursue and tackle) so as a freshman he and the defense ended up being the goat.

but i was a fan of JR. he made plenty of mistakes but got better as he went on at LSU.

i'm hoping that will happen with lee but am not ready to definitely say it won't or will happen after just one year.

it is still ok to hold off on an opinion until further facts are gathered even if that way of thinking is in the minority.

No one will remember the reasons why he failed as you so adequately and truthfully stated IF he does not suceed. Lee isnt the first QB to face a tough SEC schedule as a freshman. It's a part of football. His future sucess will depend on how he handles the previous problems he had thrown at him. No one will forever make excuses for him. It's the ninth hour and his time to prove his metal has come..

No its not fair he should be thrown in as a young player when so many others got a few years to warm up to the SEC opponents. Welcome to life, it isnt fair and it doesnt like excuses. Some have the hard road, some the easy....never the less it is what it is.

I hope he suceeds to help LSU out, after that i wish him well.

Oh and on the spelling bee thing. I never worry too much about spelling on a forum. its a forum I dont have to turn it in for a grade. My typing skills suck.... I failed at that and my typing teacher miss lott did not make any excuses for me. LOL I got an F.

but I do have a pretty cool car, I stay busy with racing and owning a business and I am a fan of a dahm good college sports program.

    Life is good. :geaux:

HA HA @ leave it to tirk... You know I've known tirk on here for a long time. Intrestingly enough never met him at a game, though I have met salty, his brother, his dad and mom, katt, LSU grad, Berge, and several others. ( too many to name )

Strangely, I always wanted to met tirk just to see if he can live up to the hype. LOL... I dunno I always just had the idea he is playing a little above the rim here on the net, maybe its just me... oh well, impressions often are wrong.

    take care

I'm going to tell you one thing, chief. I'm the world's friggin' expert on my mind. What I say about it goes.

Rant all day about what you're going to do when Lee throws an interception. Have flashbacks, boo him, tear out your hair, have your self a good little cry. Whatever blows your frock up.

But it's an absolutely losing proposition for you to try to tell me what I think and "call me a liar to my face" if I don't think the way that you do. I'd think twice about that.

So you are ok then with him throwing the picks and you are ok with the results of last season?

May I ask how do you react to a bad play when watching sports? Do you not get animated and frustrated when things dont go right for the team you are cheering for?

I dont know you from the bum in Atlanta that was asking for my change but what I take from your post about different topics on this board you dont come across to me as someone that just quietly sits there and does not get his emotions going during a game.

To answer the original question, yes. If he is called on and shows little improvement, I'll be less thrilled. But I doubt Shepherd would do better and I wouldn't say Jefferson was amazing last year.

    Hee-Hee...this is fun!

You know it's close when we're all foaming at the mouths so much that we turn on each other! I can't wait for the season to start so we can all be friends again...at least for a little while.
