Why are you so set on it being inexperience?

All I am doing is representing the other side of the argument.

People have to give him 50 chances, why just look at this forum, its all touchy feeley, pink bows and carnations. LOL Liberalism has reached a new pinacle it has infected LSu fans on the net!

thats the difference in the world today, people are scared to tell someone else, you failed. Its like lil league touch football, everyone plays. Long gone are the tough days and touch coaches like Charlie mac and Bear Bryant who would have gone over and dressed the young man down in front of his parents.

Long gone are the days when embaressment made the weak give up and strengthen the strong's resolve to do better. Now we have to be politically correct. We have to give Lee plenty of excuses. personally, I think he should be given mop up duty with a few chances there to redeem himself. Not much of a second chance but a small reward for just staying put. Miles should not have had to "talk" lee into staying, a quiter never wins. what doesnt kill us will only make us stronger. I only admire Lee for his tenacity in staying, not his ability. he hasnt earned that from the players, the fans and only the coaches remain a bit hopeful. It is what it is.

would I boo lee? No not likely but by the same token i am not so naive as to think that everyone will not.

The new world says you should reward bad results and make excuses. but he was a true freshman,,,, but mom he was thrwn to the wolves, but mom give him a break...... welcome to the world the world and the SEC does not give breaks. if you are called then be ready or the sad fact is you will and SHOULD be replaced. mother nature operates this way.

the boo birds serve a purpose, they remind us that there is a mother nature a raw element that eats it's young and it will always resort to that no matter how"civilized" we become. Survival and success wins, even in this new socialist "let everyone have a peice" society we live in.

bottom Line is Miles says he is better but not ready to take over from JJ. Miles apparently sees some things we dont but still has reservations. He will likely get booed BEFORE he touches the ball, knowing how rabid our fans our.

Let's not be naive here. Does he deserve it? proboably not but in itself..... mother nature's way of telling Lee, you dont have a margin of error like before. so Miles will likely trust him a little rather than alot. it's a tried and true practice. if someone you hold near and dear to your heart wrecks your car and it's his fault but he is very sorry and leanrs from the event? Then you find it necessary to loan him a car again? You dont give him the keys to the Caddy, you give him the keys to the jeep. this is the best Miles can do for the boy and is how it should be. it is up to Lee to rise above. I personally think he shoulda transfered but now that he stayed I hope he does well in what he is given to work with. I honestly think JJ and the boy from Tupelo ( Garret ) are the next QB's for LSU, with Shepard being a wild card at various positions.

To the victor goes the spoils and no where are they sweeter than when preceeded by adversity.
Surely someone else said that? I cant take credit for it. LOL tirk would though LOL

Should Lee get out there and prove he is able to overcome his past, then he will be the one with the last laugh, if not then he will be tossed aside as it should be. Tiger or not. its how the world works. sooner you realize it the sooner you will suceed. Good Luck to him, he certainly has a tough row ahead of him.

    thanks
    JS

    ...a spelling bee.
(just wanted to beat tirk to that one.)

but seriously, let's give the kid a chance if he takes the field. it has nothing to do with politics. many conservatives on this board are the ones giving him the most chances so i don't see how that ties in.

he was a freshman, i will be cheering for him when he takes the field.

that said, to swing around a bit, if he does take the field i may be cheering and cringing at the same time.i can do both i promise.

(remember how the o doyle's cheered in billy madison after the station wagon hit a banana peel???) that might be me if Lee sees time with the game on the line but i will cheer nonetheless b/c he is a tiger.

I'm with Red. I won't blink if/when Lee gets important playing time. I also won't rub anyone's nose in it if/when JJ shows his youth this season and if/when JL has another awesome couple of series or if/when Shep screws the pooch b/c this ain't high school and even Heisman trophy winners throw interceptions and fumble.

It's about perspective. Some folks just don't have any when it comes to JL.

I also think most fans care about the players a bunch. And I do care about Stavion Lowe and Thomas Parsons, one of whom is our 4th Rt Tackle. ;)

wazzup crip. Why you gotta hate?

I dont miss spell I just make typos ;)

you missed my point, it's not politiccal its the "general" liberalism that our whole society has migrated towards. You have to admit coaches arent nearly as "tough" and hard nosed as they used to be.

Its not like I am hoping the kid does bad. I'm just taking what we all witnessed last year and arguing the point that is different then everyone else.

And maybe "care" was to strong of a word to use...the point I was trying to make was I dont see entire threads dedicated to Stavion Lowe and Thomas Parsons.

I am not sure I got these acronyms down....but i am learning...

thanks and have a great day.
