    good lord.

i hope we can see him play. lee has a live arm, good pocket presence, and nice footwork. he just did not have experience and made poor decisions. of course anyone outside of st tebow would do the same. you rarely see a freshman look that comfortable in the pocket - especially with his interceptions. he has more potential than you think.

Never in that post did I say or post that I booed or will boo him. Eventhough I do not want to see him on the field.

Do you also care or even know who the 4th string right tackle is?

You wont....is it because the only chance he will be coming into the game is in mop up time....what if (god forbid) On the first play of the season Jefferson has a season ending injury and then a few plays later Sheppard goes down for the year as well.

You gonna sit there and tell me that your mind is not gonna flash back to last season as Lee is once again given control of the destney of this team and a cringe/shiver will not run through your body KNOWNING that is is very possible that we could have back to back seasons that are UNrecentlyLSU like.

While there is blame to be placed on Perrilloux for being a dumbass it is still Lee's fault freshmen or not. Its not like the guy was a walk on trying to make the team and got stuck in that situation...he was recruited to come here and play and he did so poorly!

How do you know that is was just not enough experience?? How do we know maybe the kid is just a head case...it happens...RYAN LEAF..had talent...just a damn head case.

Are you and any other fan ready to sit through another season like last year with him at the helm?

I think he will surprise some people. A year of good experience and a spring to look over mistakes and learn makes him a greater threat than many or you give him credit for. The guy has talent...I look for him to do quite well this season. Nothing against Jefferson but he only has two real games under his belt. Once the SEC season starts all bets are off.

If you look at some of those inteceptions Id say 2-3 shouldn't have gone back if the offense knew how to tackle. Another was a tip drill. So now you are down to 3-4. I think he just had some bad luck as well as freshman mistakes. Dont forget he also only had 1 year of high school ball under his belt. Think about were he is in that respect and you can see the underlying explosive talent he has.

if hes a headcase its because we threw him into the fire before he was ready. this is why in almost every instance you redshirt a freshman while letting him learn from the sidelines. same thing in the pros. unless your team is so bad you have to bow to the fans wishes to see the new star. there arent many peyton mannings out there who can withstand the pressure of being a complete failure in year one.

like teaching your kid a new task. you bring them along slowly at their own pace when at all possible. if they fail, you dont discard them because you exceeded their pace.

get real, dude. the sec is the toughest league with the toughest fans. he was thrown into the deep end without a raft. hopefully he can survive in spite of being misused because of necessity.

Its still just a guess. You got a 50 50 shot at being right. Do you wanna place LSU season on a 50 50 shot?

No I dont...I would hope not

But what do we have to go on with Lee....His High School years and his 1 season in college....so 50 percent of his playing career he was good and 50 percent of the time he was bad.

I'll make a deal with all of y'all...I am a man and can admit when I am wrong...IF Lee gets the chance to play and does come out and proves that last year was just a fluke and inexperience I will come on this board and on the Geaux Show I will admit I was wrong and BEG for Jarrett Lee's forgiveness.

Are any of you willing to do the same if what we saw last year is the real Jarrett Lee?

If he gets hurt in practice or in a game then yes, I care. If he transfers to another school because he felt he wasn't getting enough playing time.. I wish him the best of luck even if he's a practice squad guy. You know those 2nd-4th stringers are the guys who make our team good, right? Quality depth > Talent.

Shepard* will not be our backup QB. He'll get more playing time than Lee will barring injury.. but Lee is the backup and that is a good thing. I would feel more comfortable with Lee calling signals full-time than I would with Shepard.

Lee lost us 2 games last year. The defense was responsible for the other losses.

All the blame should be placed on his shoulders. Answer this question honestly -- how many teams would fare as well as LSU did with their 3rd string freshmen QB? I'd wager the number can be counted on one hand.

Why are you so set on him being a headcase and it not being inexperience? It's no secret that young QBs struggle.

We'd win 9-10 games with him at the helm and likely be a top-15 team.

can I play poker with you?

There is only 1 thing that is 100% and its getting lucky with a prostitute.

Guesses are 50/50 before the outcome....once the game is over yes you might be 100% correct in your guess but not before the game is over.
