tell all that to Jaime Howard. I remember people calling in the radio stations wanting to meet him places to fight. I have not seen anyone get as much negativity from Tiger fans since Jaime Howard.

I blame the coaches more than I blame Lee. Lee has a nice arm, he needs to make better decisions, no doubt. But running Scott up the middle on 1st and 2nd every time and than giving him the ball on 3rd and 12 is not a good way to setup a freshman QB. That just doesn't work in the SEC. IMHO

Jefferson is going to have to prove early that he can pass from the pocket, those rollout pass plays won't be available once SEC play starts. I would say a high chance of Lee seeing more action over the next couple of years, either due to injury or performance or during blowouts.

:thumb::tigereye:Absolutely! Lee is a Tiger...'nuff said! I often wondered, seriously, if Lee has a vision problem...color blind? myopia? Because he's a smart guy with good physical tools and he made the same mistakes over and over...I found it not just confounding, but perplexing...I hope they had his eyes checked. I wish him the very best of luck. We need two competent QBs to get thru the grueling SEC schedule. We should all work to BUILD his confidence and do NOTHING to destroy it. Anything else, is just stupid!

I don't know what games you watched last year, but there wasn't many times that #32 got stopped behind the line of scrimmage.

Nobody should ever be booed. Everyone deserves a second chance. When the kid was on last year my god he was on fire.

Oh please...PLEASE...don't question the omniscient one.

    -

Will I be nice to Lee? Hmmm. He hasn't been nice to me...but I still respect him. I will choose to do unto others as I would like them to do unto me. I will be nice to Lee...

    -

In all honesty, I do respect him a lot. He took some serious crap last season from spoiled fans. However, that doesn't mean I'm a big meanie if I don't want him on the field until mop up time. I don't. But I won't boo him if he gets thrown in there. I would be PISSED at the coaches though...at least if he was thrown in and it was obvious he still isn't ready.

I think I watched all but one game. The Scott up the middle worked until SEC play than that was it, stack the line stop Scott, make the QB go 3rd and long.

The big one was the Florida game.
2nd and 10 at LSU 37Charles Scott rush for 1 yard to the LSU 38.
1st and 10 at LSU 32Charles Scott rush for 1 yard to the LSU 33.
3rd and 9 at LSU 33Charles Scott rush for 1 yard to the LSU 34.

By the time it got here it was already 17-0 and Lee hadn't thrown an inception. Stack the D-line some more.

1st and 10 at LSU 16Charles Scott rush for a loss of 1 yard to the LSU 15.
2nd and 1 at LSU 29Charles Scott rush for no gain to the LSU 29.

Sorry that Scott of the middle crap is not going to work in the SEC, everyone knows the play.

    The man speaks the truth...

BUT... you can't pass the ball effectively without first establishing the running game. We never got that going @ Florida and Lee wasn't ready for the caliber of secondary they're playing there.

Yes, I will ABSOLUTELY be nice to Lee. And keep in mind, Ladies and Gentlemen, that PICKS ARE INEVITABLE and some are even unavoidable. Use common sense before you start throwing him under the bus over a pick.

I also remember Jaime Howard pulling a J. Lee season all in 1 horrible 4th qtr against the aubies. Good grief I think he threw double digit INTs in 10 min or so. We had a nice lead in that game. Had.....

    Howard gets no reprieve here.

i think that game and the LSU Kentucky (basketball) game in the 90's when we had something like a 30 point lead at halftime scarred me for life.
