Wishful thinking. Face it, BC is a BCS team that will have to play a conference championship game. If they run the table, they are in. But BC or OSU will lose .... hopefully.
Poll this, poll that. For me, I'm just thinking of giving Bama a sound thrashing and winning out. Then I'll look at the polls. When we make the SEC Championship game, (oops, I meant win) then I will be happy and pay attention to the polls. I think both BC and Ohio State have a very good chance of losing a game yet. The jump will come if it will but we still have to win out. Shhhhh, rumor has it that the wife got me the leather, 2 time National Champions jacket for Christmas and I am looking forward to sending it back until the new 3 Time edition comes out. :wave:
they beat the #8 team in the country on the road in the rain when everyone expected them to lose. we're not jumping them anytime soon. but they'll lose a game. :thumb:
I was not impressed with BC last night: However they did come back from 10 down with a little over 4 min left to beat the #8 team in th nation. The only way we can pass them in the BCS is if they lose and we win out. Now as far as tOSU goes I think they have a better chance of lossing than BC. One will not make it to DEC without a loss. LSU must win out and let it all fall into place. LSU!
I want to play BC in the NC game. We would dominate them so much it wouldnt even be funny. Our Dline would asbolutely destroy their oline. I would like to see their true freshman RT go one on one with Tyson. If they think VT had speed they would think everyone on our team was Michael Johnson.
We lead the one loss teams and that should not change. We are just past the halfway point of the season and there is no undefeated team in SEC. Surprised? The SEC has more top 25 teams then any other conference. If OSU and BC win out it will be very close between the 3 of us. The talking heads will have a field day trashing the system. If this happens I hope ASU goes undefeated for grins. Why not include a non USC undefeated PAC 10 team into the debate. I dislike this process of polls and computers picking which 2 teams make the NC game. Isn't this 2007 and all other sports have a legitimate playoff system? Now to answer the thread question. If LSU plays up to its ability then we should kill the rest of our opponents. This should get us in. If we don't dominate then who knows? I don't think a big win over Bama gets us past BC if BC wins next week as well.
I agree that a big win over Bama will not put us past BC. But I think there is a good chance that a big win in the conference championship should get us there if we are still #3 by then.
