The Saints will have to take this year off thanks to Goodell. With the way they are playing D, they should have a respectable draft choice next year.
Not only that, but in their 1st 4 losses this year, there has been a bad call go against them in every game that either took a TD off the board or led directly to a TD by the opposition. Most of it was perpetrated by Goodell's replacement refs. Now, I'm not saying that's why we were 0-4 because the D has been atrocious, but if the games had been called evenly, you never know. I will balance that out by saying that they did get some favorable ref treatment in the game against SD, when the pick/6 got taken off the board and SD last drive which was riddled with penalties before Wilson got the sack/strip.
Don't look now but Saints are 2nd in the NFC South. TB is also 2-4 but we beat them. Carolina is 1-5 because Cam Newton is a pile of dogshit. Saints look good. Defense showed some signs of life yesterday (Malcolm Jenkins and then the 4 down goal line stand) and of course everyone knows our offense is as good as any in the league. The Playoffs are not out of the picture at this point. Just sayin.....
Lets see @ Denver LOSS vs. Philly toss up Vs ATL LOSS @ Oak Win Vs Sf LOSS @ATL LOSS @ NYG LOSS vs TB Win @ Dall Win VS Car Win So my math says if we call the Eagles game a win we end up 7-9. Yep, time to start on next year.
No, the Saints will not make the post season because they have fielded quite possibly the worst defense I have ever seen in the NFL.
I think the 08 Lions D was worse, and maybe the Texans D from a few years ago. They were pretty horrible too.
On track to be statistically the worst defense since 1950. But I'm inclined to agree with Duncan in this article: http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2012/10/coaching_isnt_the_problem_with.html
