The Chargers and Carroll did communicate about the opening to replace Marty Schottenheimer, the newspaper reported, but the Trojans coach never said he was interested. "I just got tired of answering questions about the NFL, because there's always a follow-up question from (the media), no matter what I say, so I decided I wouldn't say anything," Carroll said, the Daily News reported. "I wasn't looking at it. I like where I'm at. I'm not going anywhere."
Are you sure about that? Im pretty sure the Amazon is the longest, followed by the nile, then the good ol' Mississippi..
1. Nile--4160 miles 2.Amazon--4000 (greatest volume of water and greatest area of land drainage) 3.Yangtze--3964 4.Yellow River--3395 13. Panama--2485 14. Mississippi--2340 15.Missouri--2315 (tributary of Mississippi River) I have gone through about 10 websites and all say the same. Way to steer the thread off topic. :yelwink2: Isn't there some nutjob trying to swim the Nile? I read they were filling the water with chum to distract the pirhanas.
Another site has the Mississippi and the Missouri river combined and it ranks 4th in length at 3870 miles long. The mississippi is the longest southward flowing river in the world. This website has greater detail: http://www.rev.net/~aloe/river/
The site I checked had the Mississippi/Missouri together as well.:thumb: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/River Edit: Could we be any further off topic?
