It's amazing that a business who's main thing is waffles only offers a cheap, generic tasting syrup. Even IHOP has a choice of 4 that all taste better than Waffle House's. When I go to a WF I almost always order a hamburger and hash browns.
Its kind of funny that when non cajuns think gumbo, thier first thought is seafood gumbo. Which dont get me wrong I love. But I have eaten way more bowls of chicken and sausage gumbo than seafood gumbo, in fact I think it's my favorite gumbo ingredients. Now a good shrimp, crab and oyster sauce piquante tops all.

B I grew up eating my Cajun grandmaw's gumbo. It was always seafood gumbo. My granpaw would go shrimping whenever he could and sold shrimp to his neighbors so they always had a lot of shrimp and crabs. My mother always made seafood gumbo even though here in Baton Rouge beshe had to buy the fixins at the grocery store. I was in high school before I ever tasted chicken and andouille gumbo. It's great but I prefer seafood if I have a choice. Recently my brother made what he called chicken and andouille gumbo. When it was served it was on a plate with no liquid anywhere. That ain't gumbo. That's a stew.but it ain't gumbo. Gumbo has liquid in it and is served in a bowl. He should know better.
