Auburn this year has proven this notion of the league being too tough for rookie QBs to be a myth. It's about the right combination of coaches, system, and supporting players. Give Mett a competent OC and solid OL and we should get instant and drastic improvement from the offense.
Mettenberger will get the same opportunity at QB as RS did. I wonder what other position Mettenberger can play?
Miles will start jj. Mett won't get a fair shot till jj is gone. I hate watching jj butcher the lsu offense but he will next year just as he did this year. Jl will be replaced by mett. Mett will get a couple series a game and jj will play the majority of snaps. Miles will reward him as a senior even if it means lsu will be at the bottom of the offenses again next year. Crowton wouldn't have it any other way
Agreed. I don't see Miles putting up with the bad QB play. Three years is enough, and I think he gives Mettenberger every opportunity to win the startng job. :geauxtige
I don't see either transferring, as they will both be seniors. JJ is the likely backup, and unfortunately, Lee is relegated further down the depth chart. :geauxtige
We need to concentrate on the important thing here....and that's the fact that Zach Mettenberger is gonna run leg like a fukken centipede when he gets to campus. He's been blastin' 4's and 5's in jr. college for the past year or so. Now he's gonna be bangin' 9's and 10's......and 9's and 10's at the same time the day he steps foot on campus.
