i too think stats are useless here. they were fun before this matchup for chits and giggles but now that we are here, most fans know that gameplanning, execution, and adaptability will determine the winner.

He's not trolling, he just has some pride in his team. I don't think he's GDF either.

Now, "Tappy" is how someone in north Alabama might pronounce "Terry P".

    Just sayin' . . .

He had better because just about every turnover our defense has created has resulted in touchdowns being scored by our offense.

If he throws a pick and you're already behind by a score and we convert it into 7 (like we have done all season), say good night. Our defense isn't going to let a potential 14 point lead evaporate.

And nice call on Lee "the pick machine". :dis: Have you even watched him this year??? 13 TD's and ONE INT ALL season!

"Pick machine"? No. More like "TD machine" this season.

I think we can get in McCarrons head with pressure. He is yet to face a D like LSU with our pressure. If we can get them in third and long or come up with proper timed blitzes it could go a long way for LSU.

    Not me...

FWIW, it's a little under a 60/40 split for rush to pass with us...something like 58% of the time we've run the ball. However, that's a stat that really IS misleading.

As example, we ended the UT game in the victory formation with three straight knees...starting with a little over 1:30 left on the clock. That's after a multiple play drive to end the game that consisted of running the ball over and over again. On top of that, we threw the ball 13 times in the first half, 13 times in the second.

I've always looked at balance based on the number of yards per game, not the number of times a running play versus a passing play is called. On that premise, you can't get any more balanced than what the Tide is running this year. Through eight games the difference in average pre game (run to pass again) is less than one yard. In conference play there is about a four yard per game difference.

Quite frankly, I think this game is won "between the ears." And, much like Katrina had an effect on your teams maturity this Bama team has dealt with something very similar. That's one of the two main reasons I believe this game leans our way.

I agree. It won't just be between the ears of 18-22 year olds. It will between coaches ears who will have to adjust reveiver and defender schemes as the game progresses.
