I think "battle tested" has increasingly become an over-used term. Especially this far along in a season. After 8 weeks, everyone has cut their teeth in SEC play. These games aren't exactly "push-overs" anymore. It's not NWST, or FIU or NIU for SEC programs. Having said that, will McCarron buckle under pressure?? I'm in the camp that if you've steered your team to an 8-0 mark to begin the season, you've played your share of games in front large crowds and in front of large enemy crowds. And if you're aiming for a BCS title shot, every game is "pressure" no matter who the competition is. 1 loss might be the end of your target goal. So I don't believe the "magnitude" of this game will really affect him more than any other SEC game. In terms of "defensive pressure" making a QB "buckle"....well....don't they all when they are getting blitzed, cracked, hit, tossed?
And yet Bama has more yards rushing and leads the sec in yards and TDs. Not only that but Bama is tied for second in rushing TDs with only Ga Tech ranked higher nationally. Also I used this link 2011 NCAA Division I-A College Football Team Statistics Leaders for Rushing - ESPN and it says that both teams are about 70/30 run pass. Both teams have scored about the same 315 Bama and 314 lsu. I don't think stats matter a lot because you can always manipulate the information to fit your argument plus I think you can throw out this game because both teams will change and execute game planes based on what is needed. Welcome to our forum! You got your head on ... Unlike those other Bammers that come in here You understand that it's EXECUTION ... wins the games! And you're spot on ... THE TEAM THAT EXECUTES WINS That being established and agreed on ... did you ever see a team execute any better against Auburn like LSU did last week? Miles throttled down in the fourth, and they got a cheap score and lotsa yardage ... A MILES TRADEMARK ... we could have easily hung 60 on them ... But we don't HATE auburn like Bammers deaux:yelwink2: A.J. McCarron will be A.J. McChamp ... If he can execute A.J. McCarron will be A.J. Mc Carrion ... If he cannot execute
Thanks, Im a regular over on Tidefans and we get a lot of well informed Lsu posters over there. They tend to treat us with respect and I do the same. I always have felt it was crazy to go on another teams website and talk smack. As far as the au game..It was great! I loved it(as would be expected)! Not only the pounding the way Chizik kind of walked off the field like a whipped puppy. Im hoping Bama can pound them the same way. As far as your execution, you guys did pretty much what you wanted to. Everything worked, deep passes,o-line,d-line, running the ball, kicking game.It really was a complete game. Lsu is definitely one of the best teams in the nation. I'm hoping that whomever wins on the 5th wins it all.
This just shows your pure ignorance and you have now lost any interest I had left in chatting with your dumb ass Yes, Yes Lee is a "Pick Machine" :dis: IDIOT Oh and Yes, Yes, please continue to compare LSU to Tennessee cause thats an excellent comparion and truly shows your Football IQ.....:dis: I swear this GUY IS laduckfan, he is back under a new username and trolling. I bet he jumped ships and is now a die hard bama fan Are you really telling us to "watch out" for AJ Mccarron, the All Mighty Heisman Candidate, Dual Threat, Montana Arm, Peyton Accuracy, #1 Ranked QB in the SEC & Country :dis:
Lets talk about last years Bama / LSU game! Lets compare that game, because thats about the same or better than comparing stats
I don't expect McCarron to fold any more than I expect Lee to return to ancient pick 6 ways. I do believe that McCarron will have to adjust to the speed with which LSU can close on the ball. He will find that his receivers aren't as open as he first estimated. How he adjusts to this fact could be a key.
