I think the confusion our defense will create for him will be more of a factor than pressure, but I do think he throws a pick or 2. Re-watch the pick 6 by Brooks vs AU, and you will see what I mean. Brooks lured the QB into thinking he was blitzing and then dropped into a "soft" area of the field for an easy pick. It was a designed pick play by the Chief.
McCarron has some flaws and weaknesses, but he is essentially a solid SEC quarterback. He will take a sack or two and possibly toss an interception, but I don't expect him to crumble under pressure.
The one you should worry about getting picked in this game is Lee... He is a proven pick machine, and he has yet to face a defense line Bama's. Before the Tennessee game, AJ had thrown 150+ passes without an INT. The important thing to remember, is that after that pick, he had the best game of his career. So, IF he does throw a pick, watch out, because he is gonna come back from it more focused, and ready to come back and win the game.
Wake up, hoss! Lee was a proven pick machine in 2008. This is 2011 and LSU leads the nation in fewest interceptions thrown (1). Lee leads the SEC in passing efficiency and has a 13-1 TD/INT ratio. McCarron is 10-3.
Yes, but as I pointed out... Lee has not faced one defense like this one. He could resort to his old ways after a few big sacks, and constant pressure from that secondary. Just sayin...
:rolleye33: You keep saying that . . . every time someone points out an LSU superlative. It's just not relevant, amigo. Bama has not faced a team like LSU either. Shall we toss out all those Bama stats you are so proud of? Monkeys could fly out of my butt, too. Can you not admit that McCarron throws more interceptions and fewer touchdowns than Lee?
I think more relevant ... Can you not admit that JLee is a Senior, who has played against Bama before, whereas, McCarron is a Sophmore ... who has little experience. I mean ... total up the number of big games, and big situations that Lee has faced. ... [Just last year, TN, FL, and Bama] and then total up McCarrons. [Notta] It is by defacto Lee, as McCarron has not seen a pressure situation in his College Career. He's a good kid, and I wish him luck. Mostly, I hope he doesn't get hurt. Thankfully, unlike Bama's D, LSU is not known for wanting to hurt the opponents QB.
I would have to disagree. Nobody is in awe of anyone at this level. As a player you want to face great teams. Im sure they didnt watch the game and say omgoodnees they are just so great. Also Alabama tends to run more so AJ naturally would have less tds. And keep in mind they both played two of the same teams with like scores though each had different ways of scoring and different defensive stats. Admit it or not these teams are great teams and it will be a tough game with no team folding or being in awe of the other.
