Jesus. 3 or 4 .500 or losing seasons?

Why not bring back Dinardo for that? I hear he's available.

I voted yes because I love my LSU tigers and I have a mighty big epidydimus.

NOTE: I'll probably regret having posted this when I'm sober in the morning.

I voted "no," but not necessarily because I believe that Auburn will.

Arizona State won't be a threat to LSU - too much speed. And either way, it's not a conference game so it wouldn't matter from an SECC perspective.
The two potential slipping-points for LSU's schedule this season are Tennessee and the UF-AU stretch.

Having an off week early in the season, just prior to playing a major opponent, has proven the downfall of many an optimistic season in the SEC. UT is a very talented, well-coached team that has only been missing a little leadership the past two seasons..... leadership it would appear they are beginning to find (at least, "on the field.") This may be the game of the year in the conference and Miles will need to have his stuff in a pile if LSU is to win.

The other is having to play Florida and Auburn back-to-back. The reason the SEC is so tough is because of scheduling like this. I don't care how good a team is, nobody's going to waltz in and lay a whooping on two big SEC defenses on successive weekends, even if they are "at home." If LSU doesn't go undefeated, it may just be because of this stretch on the schedule.

As an AU fan, I'm thankful to be following UF this time.

You have a point about the offweek, but consider Tennessee's predicament coming into the LSU game.

Won't it be much, much harder for Tennessee to face Florida and LSU in consecutive weeks---both games on the road---than it will be for LSU to face Florida and Auburn---both at home?

    On the road.

Without a doubt. UT will have it's hands full going road-road. It will be UT's second game while UF will have already played two decent opponents, Wyoming (top 20), and La tech, and it will only be September 17th ! I'm speculating the media hype will be huge for UT-UF, and Big Phil is going to want to put his thumb down on the latest Gator uprising. The idea that UT might have a letdown following the UF game is entirely plausible. Should be fun to watch :hihi:

I voted yes for the reasons most have stated. If JR plays up to his potential I think we have the potential to have another 2003 type season.

You are right about Auburn not winning it.

Them being 3rd in the West would be an accomplishment. Maybe even worth another ring.

LSU wins in odd-numbered years because the scheduling is right. All our ranked opponents are at home. Even years the reverse is true.

    2001 - SEC
    2003 - SEC, BCS championship
2005 - Tennessee, Auburn, and Florida at home. I like our chances.
