I read an article today that said he is out for the season. However, don't fall asleep on Joe Adams. He had one carry for 92 yards and a TD yesterday. I bet we will see more of him pretty soon.
Joe Adams is a wide receiver. And a dam good one. He isn't a running back though. He's one of the ones I was talking about when I said they have some sick WRs.
I just watched that on You Tube (I don't know how to import it here), and no it was not a taunting type thing. From the first angle it looked like it, from the replay, where he is running to the camera, he slows down (because he is 30 yards ahead of everyone) and looks back over his right shoulder and that is it. By the way, that guy was a blur on the screen. He has Patrick Peterson speed.
If Arkansas was still sitting there with one loss and Lsu had beaten Bama, he would most likely play if a Piggy win would vault them into the SEC championship game with a shot at the BCS NC. But I don't think he will be ready.
You would think that if they have the option of getting him for another full season to help them over 1 or 2 games, they'd want the extra year.
The answer is no. Davis will be redshirted this year. A friend of mine up here in Hog's Ville [a season ticket holder for AR] told me that Davis literally shattered his ankle, and there simply is no way he will be playing this year ... even if Patrino wanted to play him, it's not going to happen. I expect that Dennis Johnson will likely come on stronger as the year progesses, and will likely take over the starting RB position, with Wingo sprikled in. I imagine the Piggies will go 10-2 this year, which should get them a good bowl bid. Bama will be 11-1 ... and of course .. LSU ... 12-0.
