Hey wouldn't it be cool if Bama won out, USC was beaten by Fresno State, and Texas had to actually play a REAL defense in the Rose Bowl?! LOL I mean hey it could happen...And it's much closer to happening than some of the stuff the LSU hopefulls have been throwing out there... But, as much as I'd like to see that heppen, it probably wont...But I would really love to see Vince Young under center with a good, fast, and strong D staring him in the face. They haven't played the SEC-type grueling schedule. Sure, they have been punishing opponents but they havent had anyone to beat up on them. Ohio State is all they really have so far. Sure, they played TT, but we all know they dont believe in defense. If they play USC in the Rose Bowl, it will be a high scoring game and be exciting. I'd like to get this hype off of Texas though--the Big 12 is weak.
I agree with loco. above on this. TigerForums is one of the best college football boards in the country. One reason is we are hospitalbe to visitors who present themselves as good guests. We have a number of respected posters, who have EARNED that description, and a number are from Auburn. International relations with Auburn University have actually improved a little from what I have seen, possibly through the efforts of some of their good emmisaries on this board. I would not enjoy a board of just :lsup: homers. You would not get the diversity of ideas. Sometimes you wouldn't get the cold hard truth, not always negative either. When we were screaming about our coaches after the Tenn. loss, some came here and said they weren't that bad and we were over reacting, and they were probably right. Give RedElephant a chance. Its Alabama week, we will have a number of visitors, and I look forward to a fun week. Act with decorum, earn our respect. That's how class fans should behave.
Calm down! Maybe Herbstreit thinks that's going to be the "closest" game in the SEC. Perhaps he just understands that LSU is going to beat 'Bama like a red-headed stepchild, and the game won't be close after the opening kickoff???? :shock: :hihi:
Well, then dont read my posts...Im just talking football and if you have read any of my posts, then you will know that I am a realist Bama fan that hopes for the best. Im talking good football with some good fans and I really enjoy this board. I was just throwing something up into the air I thought people may like. I mean, you'd like to see Texas or USC win the NC over an SEC school? That's stupid... I know that it wont happen but shill I was just BS'n. Also, I have been given some green and told that I am a quality poster on here. Sure, I wasn't on here at the begining of the season, but I wasn't on Bama's board either.
