1. That's the title to an email (below)I got today. Someone tell me what's what with this information.

Being serious. It's no secret I can't stand the man but surely there's no truth to all this is there? I would think it would be in the news if it were.

  2. FactCheck.org : Born in the U.S.A.

Here is a link to factcheck.org regarding the President's birth certificate. Factcheck.org is a non-partisan "fact checking" web site. Please look around the site as you will see that they fact check and dispel the claims of Dems just like Repubs. I realize there is a certain percentage of the American people, including yourself, who do not care for the President's policies, however, this article you have provided is little more than a viral e-mail started by some right wing conspiracy theorist.
  3. Thanks for posting as I was interested to see who would be first to come to his defense. I had it narrowed down to three and sure enough...

It still amazes me how many self proclaimed moderates/independents on this website side with the left exclusively. Why are they ashamed to admit they're liberal Democrats?
  4. The truth isn't partisan. It's no different than the left wing liberals who believed, made movies about and championed the idiotic idea that former President Bush and Vice President Cheney were responsible for taking down the towers on 9/11. It fuels the hatred that their political opponents have for them, but it isn't even close to being truthful.

Did you honestly believe that there are only three people on this forum who love the truth? lsutiga even expressed doubt about the validity of the argument and was posing a question.

I attempted to provide lsutiga an answer, which by the way, was from a non-partisan sight, factcheck.org, and included only one sentence about my opinion, which I stand behind. lsutiga was clear that he doesn't care for Obama and that is his right as an American citizen, which I respect. lsutiga does not, however, strike me as unreasonable.

Provide some tangible evidence to the contrary and we'll debate the merits of each. Until you can do that then you have no argument.

I understand you have a problem believing that there are people in this country who apply reason to determining their political beliefs because you, quite obviously, do not. Each and every one of your posts confirm this.
  5. Not just this website, but in general. They always seem so damn secretive about being liberal (I don't use liberal in a derogatory way, its just another way to view issues). I don't understand why people are so worried about letting others know what they stand for. Personally I'm pretty much middle of the road. Too far left or right is insane, IMO.

Sorry to derail the thread. As to the validity of the article, I have not a clue. I don't see this holding water though, people have been after him on this issue for his entire tenure now.
  6. Liberal has a negative connotation. Nobody describes themselves as liberal.
  7. I knew it wasn't real the second I read that the transcripts had been released.

That will *never* happen. But there's nothing to hide, of course... :rolleye33:
  8. These days, the correct term is "progressive".
  9. I think the majority of us fall right in the middle. There are some things I am conservative about, some things I am liberal about. I don't understand where the term conservative comes from though. The only thing conservative about conservatives, is conserving their way of life. They don't really care about real conservation. I can't align myself with Democrats either because they are some of the lowliest pieces of trash on the planet.

Problem, Liberals and Democrats say things that mostly fall in line with what I believe. However their policy rarely reflects that. Conservatives, I just mostly flat out disagree with, however, at least you can see them coming, and you know where they stand and what their intentions are. Democrats you can't say that about. They are slime balls, weasels, who say one thing and do something completely different.

There needs to be a major third party in this country, I read somewhere, and I can't remember where, but there was a great line that said "year by year we lose, we lose freedoms, rights and independence to the one-two punch of government and corporate bureaucracy. Politicians promise change, but actually offer the 2 same old stale options: Moderate Socialism, or Wage Serfdom."
  10. Politicians rarely say words that mean anything any more. They're so full of sh!t that it oozes out of their mouths.
