Changing the subject, slightly. I recall reading there were 11 transfers in '15 and '16. How many now with Allen since the end of the season? I know that number because I was specifically interested in offensive lineman who were transferring considering that was basically Miles forte'. As I recall, Allen would make the third OL over three years.
I've not seen those reports. Can you link one? TCU can't do that. It's against the rules of the NCAA. I can't see Patterson doing something like that. Someone with TCU's interest at heart contacting Allen? I can see that. But, I certainly don't see a member of their staff doing so. It's simply not worth it. Now, if Allen contacted TCU before he was given permission? That changes the story completely.
That is what came across my Score app, that it was "thought" that TCU started in on him early, didn't list much more than that for sources or evidence. FWIW
