Why you guys are all wrong about Brady Quinn

Bitter your cockiness never ceasiness to amaze me. "the only football program with a national following." Just because your team has the big NBC contract doesn't mean your the proud and few one out there! There are plenty of programs with very large alumni bases all over this great nation of ours just looking at the numbers from the year end and year out top 10. I'm sure you'll come back with a great response about what your definition of a "National following" is but whatever that may be cmon man the only program? How delusional can you be?

 

how apropos bq played mascot for the lovable losers much like he did for nd for so many years.

 

He needs to go to Disney World in Fla. Salty had told me LSU owned it but I couldn't believe how many more LSU shirts, caps, (Fans) I saw than ANY other team. I just had a teacher go with her kids over the Easter holidays and the first thing I asked her was if she'd seen a lot of LSU fans and she said how amazed she was too.

She said they'd holla :geauxtige and the same was experienced when we went in December. Maybe the LSU grads, families of grads have more $$$ after all, and can afford travel more than ND fans and that's why there were none at DW. :grin:

Brady Quinn is a decent QB. I don't think anyone that knows football can say he is horrible. The problem with Quinn and the draft is simple. Brady Quinn is the equivilent of Alex Smith, Aaron Rogers, Tim Couch, Josh Booty, or Joey Harrington. All were very good college QB's, but none have made it in the pros. And they were all over the draft board. It depends on what else you got to go with in their draft years as to where they got drafted.

Smith may very well end up fine, but the rest are never-will-be's. Quinn falls in with these guys. He looks great in workouts and has shown signs of brilliance against teams with horrible defenses, but he just can't get it done when the game is in his hands. He may end up just fine, or he may end up a career clip board man.

JaMarcus, on the other hand, is a once in a lifetime talent. Don't get me wrong, he needs a NFL coach to help him unleash all of his abilities, but the pure combination of his arm, attitude, and accuracy is something you just don't see too often. Now this doesn't figure in the fact that he is the size of a defensive end with the ability to throw the football on the move with defenders hanging on him as if he was the only one on the field.

He has such a calmness about him when it's all on him. It is like he knows he is going to win. And he knows he can do it on his own. Coaches see this confidence and know that it can't be taught.

That is why JR is the better pick over Quinn.

Please go post in the ND forums because I am tired of hearing about the academic disadvantage ND has over and over. Is that the best you can say is that ND loses because of their academic standards. Please take this BS elsewhere. ND had no business playing in a BCS game last year and you know that as well as every other half ass intelligent person.
