    Hurricane,

I'm incredibly proud of what ND accomplished last year, given its academic standards and the talent disadvantage. We were the little engine that could, an underdog in many regards. At the same time, I have no problem with saying that LSU is loaded in NFL talent compared to ND. I think the NFL draft will bear this out. Many ND fans, before the game against LSU, recognized that LSU was a bad matchup for ND.

The networks and pollsters lead Notre Dame to a BCS bowl not Brady Quinn. Notre Dame deserved to be in a bowl last year, not a BCS bowl. Brady Quinn reminds me alot of Brodie Croyle, a very athletic quarterback. There is usually always one in the draft. A quarterback like Jamarcus Russell comes along once in blue moon. Taking a quarterback is a crap shoot and the overwhelming majority of rookie quarterbacks struggle. If I have team its not even close, DRAFT JAMARCUS !

Am I the only one who sees Russell a lot like Young, last year. He may not make an immediate impact, but has a greater upside than Quinn. Quinn is the type of QB I see making (or able to) an impact in the second year...Russell, his 3rd or 4th.

I would be happy if JR had similar success as Young did in his first season. I hope no one is expecting JR to go out and be perfect no matter where he ends up. There is going to be a learning curve for any QB making the jump.

It all depends on the team, its too early to speculate. Both of these quarterbacks can play football.
